“I started doing one of Paula’s yoga classes at the beginning of 2018. I went to other classes and straight off realised there was something unique about hers. You were made to feel it was all about you, she sensed how you were feeling and being both intuitive and therapeutic, you would leave feeling fabulous. In August 2018 I was given a cancer diagnosis, a rare type of skin cancer in my anus. I had 2 tumors, one over 5cms! I was on my own, nobody had expected cancer. The consultant had not even left the room before I began a text to Paula. It was not for a ‘poor me chat’ it was for a way forward because I immediately knew Paula, with her caring and tenacious attitude would do her utmost to help….and she did not disappoint.
By our next call, she knew everything about anal cancer. She immediately gave me ideas on how to alleviate the pain from my biopsy and begin to care for myself to help cope with the shock…stretches, self-massage with tennis balls, oils to rub ( ginger and juniper to reduce inflammation ) yoga postures and diet tips. Before I had even started treatment, I was totally plant-based and meditating daily. My oncologist told me my treatment, 5 weeks of chemo and radiation, was comparable to cracking a walnut with a sledgehammer, whilst being ‘potentially ‘life-saving’ it would also be life-changing with numerous side effects. I was reminded by a nurse, on completion of my treatment, that I had smiled and told him that I would be fine. (Paula had already got my mindset fixed on being positive and in control) .I sailed through treatment…not one side effect, my nails and hair had never looked so good.
Everyone should have Paula in their life, you do have to put the work in, sadly she doesn’t have a magic wand for that (yet) though I am forever grateful to her and cannot recommend her enough..”
